The days are getting longer and warmer. It’s the perfect time to reacquaint yourself with your bike, running shoes, and maybe the dog leash too.
Wondering where to go? If you live in Parker, you have lots of options all around you. Ranked #12 on CNN Money magazine’s list of the top 50 best places to live in the US, Parker was praised for its abundant green spaces, among other things. So all you walkers, joggers, bikers, and equestrians, get out and enjoy these sunny April days. Hop on one of the trails listed below, and simply enjoy its beautiful, winding ways or let it guide you toward to one of Parker’s many parks. Here’s a park and trail map to get you started. The Cherry Creek and Newlin Gulch Trails can take you to Challenger Park, where your kids can romp on two playgrounds, four soccer fields, three ball fields, or three inline skate rinks.
Or veer off at Salisbury Equestrian Park, where you can sometimes watch fancy horses strut their stuff, or take advantage of the park’s creative, non-traditional playground, picnic tables, barbeques, ball fields, and 30 acres of open space.
While a bit off the trail, you and your four-legged friends might want to spend a spring afternoon at Bayou Gulch Regional Park. Clocking in at an impressive 205 acres, this outstanding park includes a 2-acre off-leash dog area, as well as 4.68 miles of soft-surface trails.
