Calling all Houzz and HGTV junkies. Two stylish, new model homes are debuting at Stepping Stone this fall. And here’s a sneak preview of what you’ll see.

Shea’s new Watercolor Collection in Stepping Stone’s Butterfly Neighborhood includes four ranch plans with exteriors that artfully blend classic architectural design with contemporary accents. As to the way they feel, modern is the best descriptor. Each plan syncs up perfectly with today’s busy lifestyles, maximizing living space with smart, open plans where families can flow from great room to kitchen with island to covered patio. Bedrooms flex from 2 to 4. Optional finished basements can include children’s and guest bedrooms, or simply extra space for hobbies or entertainment.

Two models, the Cimarron (5022) and Marigold (5023), bring these designs to gorgeous life, thanks to the interior design skills of Trio Environments. Inspired by the plans’ abundant, party-friendly open space and natural light, the designers’ goal is a vibe of contemporary energy, achieved by a strong emphasis on line and form.

Here, less is more. Simplicity trumps clutter. Every piece counts. Throughout, you’ll see smooth profiles; solid, monochromatic, subtly-patterned fabrics; and large-scale accessory collections. Sophisticated color palettes play with variations of white, gray, sand, and rich blue-greens.

Touring both models will shed light on the options you’ll have in all four of these ranch plans—so popular and yet so hard to find in metro Denver’s new home market. The 2,374-square-foot Cimarron ranch plan offers two bedrooms, 2-1/2 bathrooms, a main-floor study, and an open-concept living space that includes the kitchen, dining area, and great room. A well-appointed kitchen features a large breakfast bar, ample cabinets, a pantry, and a double oven. A mudroom with walk-in closet and spacious laundry room connects to the 2-bay garage. A side-load 1-bay garage makes room for a third car, workshop, or storage. Options include replacing the study with a third bedroom, and a partially-finished basement that includes another bedroom, full bathroom, and recreation/media room.

The 2-bedroom, 2-1/2-bathroom Marigold ranch plan offers 2,619 square feet of well-considered living space. Features include a study, spacious laundry room, and chef’s kitchen with large breakfast bar, walk-in pantry, double oven, and cozy nook that opens to a generously-sized great room. This home also has a covered front porch and back patio, a 2-bay garage, and 1-bay side-load garage. Options include a guest suite, third bedroom, and partially finished basement with a bedroom, full bathroom, and recreation/media room.
