July was a hot one. But relief came on the last Saturday of the month in the form of icy cold snow cones and floats served up by The Back Yard Soda Company. Held during the heat of the day at the Lantern House, Stepping Stone’s community gathering place, Fizz Fest provided tasty treats while residents mingled, swam, frolicked at the splash pad, and chased a few bubbles. (Watch the video here.) Regular community events like these make getting to know your neighbors easy. And delicious. Get a taste of the year-round fun in the Stepping Stone photo gallery.
Special requests, no problem. Nothing better than a snow cone that matches your cool shades.
Tiny bubbles make tiny people very happy.
Frozen treats on a hot July day? Yes, please.
Everyone needs a drink of water after ice cream.
The Lantern House pool keeps Stepping Stone kids busy all summer long.
The splash pad is especially nice for the pre-swimming crowd.
Cheers!
A few months from now, that snow cone will be a freshly roasted s’more.
