A trip downtown is always fun too. Before you dine at, perhaps, one of Denver’s top 25 restaurants, like Bar DoughCholon, or Guard and Grace, stop in for cocktails at the Cruise Room in the Oxford Hotel. It’s a tucked-away place with a romantic, art deco vibe modelled after one of the lounges on the Queen Mary.

If you’d like a little outdoor activity to offset the dinner and cocktails, strap on your ice skates for a spin at the Southwest Rink at Skyline Park. Located at the corner of Arapahoe and 16th Streets, the rink offers free skating with skate rentals for only $2.

Sore quads after all those triple axels? Good thing you reserved a couples massage at the Ritz-Carlton. The Couples Escape is the ultimate indulgence: side-by-side 50-minute massages, plus private use of the facilities after all the other customers have been shooed away.

Finally, go classic romance with an old-fashioned horse and carriage ride through the streets of downtown Denver. (There are several pickup points along the 16th Street Mall. Snuggled under a blanket beneath a starlit sky, you’ll discover a more magical view of the city. And maybe a new view of that lovely person sitting next to you, too.
