May is a month of fun holidays, such as May Day, Mother’s Day, and everyone’s favorite three-day weekend, Memorial Day. But in addition to these celebrations, Stepping Stone residents can partake in a lot of other activities during this festive month.
One thing Stepping Stone residents can look forward to this month is pool time at our community clubhouse, the Lantern House. But if you’re looking for fun things to do outside of the neighborhood, we’ve compiled a list of cool events around town. Fortunately, Stepping Stone’s convenient location puts us close to a lot of exciting activities in the Denver metro area:
First Annual Parker Arts Shakespeare Festival
Wednesday, May 10
This will be a theatrical competition where students from Parker middle and high schools will perform a scene from a Shakespeare play/soliloquy of their choosing and be evaluated by judges. The goal of this festival is to increase appreciation of Shakespeare’s works and foster creative community and engagement. You can register or buy tickets here.
Parker Farmer’s Market
Sunday, May 14, 8 am – 1 pm
Head down to the hottest place in Parker on a Sunday morning! This farmer’s market takes place on Main Street in downtown Parker and features 70+ vendors. Take a walk among the booths and get inspired for healthy, locally sourced dishes to make at home this summer.
The Big Wonderful
May 5 – May 7
Looking for some hipster vibes? This quarterly weekend festival is Denver’s original urban fest that celebrates Colorado’s eclectic culture to the fullest. The Big Wonderful turns otherwise vacant lots into a thriving arts and small business community, incorporating a huge bazaar that features Denver’s best eats, drinks, and pop-up retail.
Hopefully this will give you a solid starting place to plan your month of fun!
