
The sunny days of July are here and that means schedules are filling up with July 4 BBQs, pool parties, summer camps, and family vacations. If you’re sticking close to home this month, we found exciting events you’ll want to add to your social calendar.
FIRST FRIDAY ARTWALK
Friday, July 7, 5-8 pm
Peruse the works of local artists during this free monthly artwalk in downtown Parker, located in the 20 Mile Central Building on Mainstreet between Victorian Drive and Pikes Peak. Kick off the walk with a FREE wine tasting at Vines from 4-5 pm. The artwalk is held the first Friday of each month from June to October.
MUCKFEST MS
Saturday, July 15, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
If you can laugh, you can mud it up! Race around Salisbury Park, up and over mountains of mud, and attempt to conquer 15+ outrageous obstacles that will spin, swing, and fling you up, down, and sideways. No special training required. The event raises money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Cost is $80 until July 9 and $105 day of event.
KIDS TRY-ATHALON
Saturday, July 22, 7:30 am
Cheer on our youngest triathletes at Parker Recreation Center. Age groups are broken down for kids 6-8 years, 9-10 years, and 11-12 years. Check the rec center’s website for swim/bike/run distances and start times. There will be several heats for each age division. Pre-registration is $20 until July 19 and $30 on race day.
