Wide Focus

Ever notice how once Labor Day weekend hits, everything turns into a new season? It’s as if summer shifts to fall the moment you realize it’s September. You change out the tank tops and shorts for jeans and layered sweaters. You go from rooting for the baseball team to cheering for the football team. And your weekend hiking adventures become fall color excursions.

But don’t mourn the end of summer – get excited about the new beginnings of the autumn  season! And Stepping Stone residents have a lot to look forward to this month:

Saturday, September 9, All Day, Salisbury Park

Help raise money for a good cause! Cyclists, walkers, and runners from around the region will gather at Salisbury Park to participate in one of five routes designed for all ages and ability levels. Proceeds from this event benefit the American Diabetes Association.

September 15-17, O’Brien Park

Celebrate Oktoberfest at this family-friendly, German-themed festival, which includes a number of activities for children and adults. The free event features live music, dancers, a mustache competition, a dachshund race, and, of course, lots of beer!

Sunday, September 24, 1-2pm, Location TBD

KEEP Collective is a community of designers who create meaningful jewelry and personalized keepsakes. Meet local designers, see the product in person, and learn how to launch a side gig – it’s easier than you think! Registration required.

Friday, September 29, 5-8pm, Downtown Parker

One good thing about being located near downtown Parker? Wine Walks! Enjoy wine samples provided by Parker Chamber merchants and learn more about the goods and services they provide. Tickets are $15 and each ticket includes a wineglass and wine walk map.
