Five Can’t-Miss Summer Activities Around Parker

Summer is the season for adventures, activities, and all-around fun. Sometimes, though, we’re tempted to skip the summer bustle and simply lounge in our welcoming Stepping Stonecommunity, either at the competition-sized pool by the Lantern House or with an ice-cold beverage on the beautiful patios of the Crescendo Collection homes. With a little bit of planning, you can accomplish it all! Read on for some scheduled and some not-so-scheduled must-dos in nearby Parker for summer 2022 — no driving to Denver required.

Parker Parks and Recreation holds a series of runs every year, and the summer run is the popular Cattle Crossing 5K and Family Fun Trek on June 18 — your kids will love it so much that they’ll want even more! Emphasizing fun over competition, kids aged 6 to 12 will experience the exhilaration of completing the Kids’ Try-Athalon on July 16. With running, biking, and swimming in the adventurous H2O’Brien Pool, young athletes can take pride in being strong, healthy, and successful.

The Parker Arts, Culture, and Event center is the prime spot for summer activities, with camps and classes for all ages including theatre, dance, visual arts, and more. PACE is also host to the weekly Discovery Park Summer Concerts that begin June 2. At the peak of summer produce, take in the Parker Honey Festival on August 7 for lessons by local beekeepers to experience that apiary life.

Some adventures are less schedule-bound and therefore easier to add to your schedule of summer fun. Horses and Colorado go together like summer and splashing — and fortunately, one of the most highly-regarded local stables is right here in Parker. The Parker Riding Academy offers one-time experiences as well as extended training and boarding for more dedicated equestrians.

Another experience to try this summer is solving mysteries with a group of like-minded sleuths. Grab your friends and duck away from the heat to try a local escape room in the heart of Parker. Finally, be sure that your loyal furry friends celebrate in their own way by enjoying the Parker Parks and Recreation Dog Park with Agility Course and Disc Golf.

Wherever summer takes you, your kids, or your four-legged furbabies, you can rest easy knowing that when you come home, the restful nature of Stepping Stone awaits you. If this sounds like the life you want, contact us today. We’d love to help you find the home of your dreams — for any season!
